Reef sharks: common on every dive.

March 8th, 2009

First dive we did at Hafasa Thila ( Makaru Thila )at 6.30 in the morning, we had a light current and this gave us the chance to stay at the up current and observe the fish life, lots of Juvenile white tip reef shark, 2 gray reef sharks and the small resident eagle ray with the long tail.

Second dive we did at Bathalaa Maaga Kan Thila at the eastern edge of the atoll, the current was light and this made the fish life poor, we saw some white tips and Napoleon and huge Groupers.

For the third dive we moved to Rasdhoo atoll, to dive at Rasdhoo Madivaru. By afternoon the current got stronger. And the visibility was very good. Some of the highlights were white tips Napoleon and tuna and other small stuff

Both underwater and surface condition still remains very good. Today is a bit overcast day but the temperature remains unchanged.

Final anchorage at Rasdhoo Madivaru and tomorrow morning we dive early morning Hammerhead.
